I got ordained because I was getting married and could not, for the life of me, find someone to officiate who actually understood what we wanted — someone to help us figure out the right words, walk us through the actual process, and not hand us a script that sounded like it belonged to somebody else's wedding. So I became that person. First for myself, and now for other couples who've hit the same wall.

Here's what I believe, plainly: love is love, however it shows up. I will marry anyone — LGBTQIA+ couples, interracial couples, second marriages, courthouse quickies, backyard weddings with fifty aunties watching. Love is what you make it, and my job is just to help you say that out loud in words that actually sound like you.

I'm still early in this — you're not getting someone who's done four hundred weddings and can phone it in. What you're getting is someone who's warm, a little dry, genuinely funny when it's called for, and an absolute crybaby the second two people start talking about how they fell for each other. Atlanta is home — it's the city that made me — and I'd love for your ceremony to happen here, or wherever you need me to show up.
